Sorry I haven't been posting in a while, summer business has been getting to me.


Well, guess what? I just got my friend code! This only works for D, P, Pt, HG, and SS so be aware of that! My code is 0304 - 6319 - 4401 and you should register me as MICHELE (pardon the caps lock, at that time, I wasn't even aware of how to type in a lowercase letter)

July's Place of Interest: Eterna City (Sinnoh)

This month's featured location is Eterna City in the Sinnoh region! This city appeared in the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games. 

Why is this city so important?

Well, there are a few interesting places here.

For example, Eterna City hosts the Eterna gym, whose leader, Gardenia, specializes in grass-types (I admit to partial bias for choosing this city, grass-types are my favorite). Here, the Forest Badge can be earned - the second badge in the games.

On a tall hill in the eastern area, you can see an ancient statue depicting a combination of Dialga and Palkia. The inscription reads as follows:

"The creation of DIALGA,
The giver of time...
In laughter there is tears...
And likewise, it is with time.
The same time flows on.
For it is the blessing of DIALGA.

The birth of PALKIA.
The creator of parallel dimensions...
Alive, yet not alive...
Everything drifts in space...

The Galactic Eterna Building is also located here. Those trainers who want to kick some Team Galactic butt: this is the place for you. Have fun trashing their headquarters!

Minor locations include the Eterna Condominiums, where the Name Rater is located and where both a TM and a Pokemon trade is found; the Herb shop, where certain medicines can be bought for a low price; and the Bicycle Shop, which doesn't play such a big role in the main story line but this is where you receive your Bicycle.

Eterna City's south exit also leads to the Cycling Road, which helps to hatch eggs and also has a lot of trainers.

Contrast: Reshiram and Zekrom

This is an absolutely amazing piece of artwork. Each chess piece is a Pokemon exclusive to the game named after their color, and you can even see the glow of the generators on their tails showing on Reshiram and Zekrom's backs. 


I would really love to buy this chess set.

Pokemon Special Volume 38

All right, so I begin my Pokespecial commentary. And we'll start with Vol. 38, because it's the start of the most recent chapter. Though I might skip around.

Giratina's eyes. Oh boy, I'm excited now. Let's hurry up and get to the good parts :P

The Battle Frontier! Oh wow, now things are getting even better. We haven't seen this guy since Emerald! Does it bring back memories~

Ohhh-kay. Darach, please take that grin off of your face. I'm going to have nightmares now. And Platina looks cute in the 4th panel.

Last panel... Really Looker, be more respectful. But their expressions...so cute <3

Platina, why did you ever go to the Veilstone Game Corner? Slot machines, now a roulette... You're going to end up to be a gambler like Gold.
